Long time Lots o' changes
Let's see so far today I have accomplished making snicker doodles and I am currently in the process of making my very first loaf of homemade bread sans bread machine. However that is no comparison to what has happened over the last month. In the early part of the month of August the family and I made a trip to visit hubby's sister and brother in Birmingham. We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the time off. Addison learned how to walk and chase the dog while we were there! We watched the Olympics as I participated in the Ravelympics. We loved watching Micheal Phelps conquer all this events and I finished most of my projects for the Ravelympics in time to get 3 medals. I would have finished more but in the midst of the Ravelympics I received news that my uncle had passed away. I was able to get to my hometown in time to comfort my family.
Once we arrived back home we had some financial issues pop up unexpected, don't you HATE that!? Well that really brings us up to the present day. Christopher has started his 3rd job, yup that's right, 3 jobs! We now have only 1 night a week that we are both not busy, so we will really have to be sure that it stays open just for family time.
And now back to the bread! I have really enjoyed myself so far. It felt really good to be making something with my own two hands that would feed my family. It was remarkably easier than I expected it to be. I encourage everyone out there, if you have never made bread from scratch for your family, don't wait another minute, go out get all the ingredients, of which are only about 5 total ingredient, and make it right this minute! I started at 8 this morning and I am very close to putting it in the oven for 40 minutes and it will be finished! I am amazed that it really doesnt take all day like I thought that it would. I am enjoying this new skill that hopefully I have and will grow and grow. I hope it comes out of the oven ok, I will have to let you all know how it all goes when I get to that point. But for now I am going to sign off and enjoy the next 20 minutes just sitting in one spot working on my Hairpin Lace Scarf while Addie finishes up her nap, have a wonderful day!!!!
