More than just cake

My friend is getting married this October and her wedding party is today. I wrote this on a recipe card in place of giving her a regular recipe to try.

On Fights: Attack the issue not each other.
Marriage is not mindreading, ask what he/she wants and believe what he/she says.
Take time for yourself.
Find the blessings in your differences.
Say I'm sorry often & mean it.
Don't let life get in the way.
Brag on him, don't nag on him.
Never badmouth your spouse.
Don't ask single friends marriage advice.
Really learn to listen.
Sometimes the best & wisest move is to pull the toilet seat down & not say another word.
Love is not enough, it takes work, lots and lots of work.

Along with this she is getting measuring cup, and a hand knit dishcloth. Hope she likes it...
